Scripture: Mark 12:13-17
Join us this Sunday as we begin a new sermon series called Politics and the Gospel. We will begin by looking at one of the most famous scenes in the Gospels. Jesus is asked by the Pharisees and the Herodians if they should pay taxes to Caesar or not. They think they've trapped him with a yes or no question. Instead Jesus says, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." This scene and Jesus' answer have massive implications for how Christians today ought to approach their governing authorities and politics.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the complex relationship between faith, governance, and personal responsibility, as outlined in Romans 13. You will be challenged by the call for active participation, and the importance of leading with love as we consider our own politic. It's an important topic as we approach the upcoming political season and how we, as Christians, can navigate the tensions between promoting the gospel and civic duty.

You are invited to Breaking Bread. On the weekend of April 13th Canyon Creek is throwing a party throughout the San Ramon Valley and you are invited! To participate is simple. Set aside a mealtime on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday on the weekend of April 13th. Sign up online to attend one of our weekend parties. The host will reach out to you with all of the details so you can have a great time connecting with new and long time friends in our church community. We do this a few times a year and it is a great way to get to know some new people.
Breaking Bread
You are invited to Breaking Bread. On the weekend of April 13th Canyon Creek is throwing a party throughout the San Ramon Valley and you are invited! To participate is simple. Life Groups at Canyon Creek are vibrant communities where individuals deepen their journey with Christ through mutual love and support. Comprising approximately eight to ten members, these groups are guided by church leaders and members passionate about fostering growth in Christ, enhancing scriptural understanding, and creating a nurturing community. We would love all of our church community to join a life group and look forward to helping you jump into one with us. If you're interested in being a part of this enriching experience, we'd love to hear from you.
Mission of the Month
Mission to Mexico is Canyon Creek's annual Mission Trip to Mexico hosted by the high school ministry. A team of students and adults from our church will spend March 31st through April 6th in Mexico building homes in partnership with Amor Ministries. Please be praying for our team in the lead up to their trip as they finish fundraising and receive training in preparation.
