Mission to Mexico

Mission//Mexico 2017 is a wrap!

Take a quick look at our week!
Mexico2017

Early Saturday night at 3 a.m. students, adults, parents, staff and Pastor Travis set out once again to Tecate Mexico to build homes and relationships for 4x families. This year, Zakk our new Director of High School ministries will lead 45 high schoolers on our annual trip where students will learn to serve and live life together throughout the week in Mexico.

Foundations Complete - Followed by Wall Framing

Monday we all got a head jump and quickly knocked out the concrete and foundations. With measurements and level all dialed in, we moved onto walls and framing.

Getting Framing Started

The teams are working efficiently as frameworks are being knocked out one by one. Teams are broken into groups to hash out different projects; paint, frame, cement mixing, foundations, etc.

Stay Humble

For many of us that live in the East Bay bubble, going on Mission//Mexico is an eye opener to the living situations of the rest of the world. We are here to serve and build relationships. Lives and families will be changed by the end of the week and all Glory to God.

Nightly Worship

Food and meals again were prepared by Ann and Tom and their wonderful team. After dinner, we gather to sing praises and hear a message of encouragement under the beautiful stars each night.

My favorite part of the trip was after campfire last night when Zakk played guitar and sang and they gave us seniors advice. I felt such peace. -Emily
