Women's Ministry

Grow - Jesus Christ is our prize. Our relationship with him is to be prized as we go deeper, seek his wisdom, and center our lives around the hope of building an authentic relationship with him. This requires asking the difficult questions as we experience the many stages of life. As the women of Canyon Creek, we want to explore those questions and embrace the answers provided through the gospel as we grow together and individually.

Flourish - Our community encourages women to encourage women. We desire every woman at Canyon Creek to feel uplifted and encouraged in their faith. We want to be a community where women thrive and fulfill the calling that Jesus places on our hearts.

Discover - The Bible is the voice of God. It provides us with an opportunity to discover more about ourselves and our relationships with others. We believe that women are called to encourage one another through fellowship with other women to grow in the wisdom and knowledge of Scripture.

Annual Women’s Retreat

Our annual weekend retreat takes place each spring. The weekend usually features several talks by an outside speaker, small group discussion, and free time on Saturday afternoon to hike, shop, sleep or go to a spa. Sign-ups start early in the year.

Revive - Half-Day Retreats

Occasionally we set aside a time to spend a half day together and listen to an inspirational talk by one of our own or an outside speaker. We enjoy a continental breakfast and lunch. Contact Tricia Rohrs for more information.

Annual Christmas Tea - Savor the Season

Every December we enjoy a Women’s Tea to celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season. Women of all ages (7 and up) are welcome to come and enjoy an array of homemade delicacies and beverages, special holiday music, fellowship, and guest speaker. Contact Kelly Wiese for more information.

Quilter's Group - Connecting Pieces

Our quilters meet twice once a month in Room 205 and they would love to welcome newcomers! They create and donate quilts to people from the church in need of a little comfort and warmth. They also care for one another, sharing their lives while learning quilting skills. Check the calendar for the next meeting and please come! All skill levels are welcome. Contact Janice Monkowski for more information.
